POSTING FOR THE POSITION OF SUPERINTENDENT
Princeton Water and Wastewater is seeking qualified applications for a forward-thinking and effective leader to be its next Superintendent. Princeton Water and Wastewater is a water and wastewater utility serving approximately 3,300 active water connections and 2,800 sewer connections. The General Manager is responsible for the entire operation, providing safe and dependable services, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements in an efficient and effective manner.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of water and wastewater system operations and practices. The successful candidate for this role should possess strong engineering, financing, communication, and leadership skills with the desire to serve in industry and community organizations at the highest level. Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
Certification / Licensing Requirements
Certified Kentucky Class IIIA or higher Water Treatment Plant Operator and a Class II or higher Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator or be able to obtain these certifications.
Essential Functions
This position is responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating all operational, engineering, maintenance, construction, and financial activities of the District’s operations within the scope delegated by the Board. This includes significant field and administrative responsibilities; developing and managing annual budgets; responding to emergency situations at all hours; hiring, training, and managing personnel; establishing and enforcing work standards while creating a harmonious and productive working relationship with immediate staff and other employees; providing regular reports to the Board of Directors; and fostering good public relations.
