GIS Asset Management
KRWA offers comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) services to support water and wastewater utilities in asset management. By utilizing GIS, GPS, and other digital tools, KRWA assists utilities in detecting, evaluating, and documenting critical data essential for efficient operations.
Key services provided by KRWA include:

Mapping: KRWA collects precise location data for water and wastewater features such as meters, valves, hydrants, tanks, and manholes using sub-foot GPS equipment. Attribute information for each feature is also gathered during fieldwork.

Service Line Inventory (SLI): KRWA supports utilities in completing the EPA-mandated SLI to identify lead service lines within water distribution systems. This process involves mapping both utility-owned and privately owned sections of service lines.
These services enable utilities to maintain accurate records, comply with regulatory requirements, and enhance operational efficiency.
