The City of Bardstown is hiring Certified Class I, II, III, and IV Water Treatment Plant Operators.
The City of Bardstown is looking for qualified individuals to a fill full-time position at our Drinking Water Treatment Plant. Class III or IV is preferred but not required.
NOT CURRENTLY CERTIFIED? NO PROBLEM! We can hire candidates as an Operator Trainee and help fast tract their certification by utilizing their education from a regionally accredited college or university in engineering or biological, environmental, physical, or chemical science. COMPENSATION: The beginning salary for this position will be based on a combination of education, experience, and certifications. Salary ranges are as follows:

Class IV $58,036 - $87,055
Class III $52,760 - $79,140
Class II $47,964 - $71,946
Class I $43,604 - $65,405
Trainee $39,640 - $59,459

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work flexible shifts. Duties include performing daily operations and maintenance activities associated with operating the water treatment plant, general grounds keeping, making chemical adjustments, record keeping, etc. Must hold a valid driver’s license. Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
