Logistics & Maintenance Assistant - 502 Equipment 

502 Equipment is seeking a dedicated and resourceful individual to join our team as a Logistics & Maintenance Assistant. This role is a fantastic entry point for those interested in the heavy equipment industry, offering hands-on experience in both logistics, equipment operations and mechanical technician training. Our company is still very much in start-up mode, so we are looking for someone excited by the opportunity to jump in on the ground floor of a fast-growing business - positioned to continue that growth for the long-term. We need someone who’s not afraid to get dirty! 

Responsibilities: 

● Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient service shop environment. 

● Learn how to safely transport and operate all equipment 502 Equipment offers including hydro excavators, street sweepers, pipe inspection cameras and high-powered trailer jetters. 

● Manage the transportation of equipment to and from demonstration sites across KY, IN, and TN, ensuring timely and safe delivery. 

● Assist sales team in demonstrating safe equipment operation to potential customers. 

● Provide essential maintenance support within the shop, assisting with various tasks as needed. 

● Contribute to the smooth flow of equipment logistics and shop operations. 

Requirements: 

● Valid Class B CDL or willingness to get this within first 30 days. 502 Equipment will pay for expenses related to this certification if needed. 

● Must be 18+ years old. 

● Must pass pre-employment drug screening. 

● Strong organizational and logistical skills. 

● Basic tech skill needed - email, iphone, Google Drive. 

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

● A proactive and detail-oriented approach. 

● Willingness to perform physical tasks, lift 50+lbs and maintain a clean workspace. 

● Standard hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. (Can be flexible if part of high-school co-op program) 

● Occasional overnight travel required (30% of time). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

● Background in technical education, automotive, or diesel mechanics. 

● Experience with equipment transportation or maintenance. 

● Interest in pursuing future opportunities in equipment operation, mechanic or sales. 

● Interest in automotive/diesel mechanics is a plus.
