Lead Service Line (LSL) Inventories – Step by Step

Under the new Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, which became effective on December 16, 2021, water systems are required to conduct an inventory of the service lines in their distribution systems, with a focus on identifying where each LSL is located. These LSL inventories must be submitted to the Division of Water (DOW) by October 16, 2024. The DOW is still waiting for EPA guidance regarding exactly what the inventory should entail.  Please click here for guidelines to help begin the process.
