Assistant Water Plant Superintendent

The Frankfort Plant Board has an opening for a full-time Assistant Water Plant Superintendent.  The successful candidate will assist the Water Plant Superintendent in the planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of the Water Treatment Plant Department.  The successful candidate will assist in the overall administration, operation, maintenance and special projects of the water treatment plant and insure that plant operations comply with established procedures and standards, federal, state and local laws, and administrative regulation

Qualified applicants must have a high school education or GED, with 7 years combined experience in drinking water treatment and/or maintenance, plus two years of management or project management experience and must have possessed and maintained a Class IVA license for at least 5 years. Two years of education may be substituted for a minimum of one year of work experience with a maximum of two years may be substituted of work experience.  Associate’s degree in Environmental Science, Applied Science or related field is preferred.

The starting salary is $2,670.08 bi-weekly ($69,422.08 annually) plus an excellent benefits package including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance and membership in the KY Retirement System. All applicants must be able to successfully complete drug screening and background investigation.
