KRWA Leak of the Week
Recently, Danny Joe Stinson played a crucial role in resolving a system-wide outage for the City of Brandenburg. The issue persisted throughout the early morning, but despite their efforts, the source of the problem remained elusive. Specifically, the water tanks were empty and not refilling, causing significant concern.
Before arriving in Brandenburg, Danny Joe diligently studied the distribution system map to prepare for his evaluation. With the city's collaboration, specialized equipment was utilized to pinpoint the leak's location hidden beneath a concrete driveway, approximately 4 feet deep.
Typically, hiring contractors for such a task would cost around $3,000 per day. However, thanks to Danny Joe's expertise and assistance, the City of Brandenburg managed to avoid this expense, allowing those funds to be directed towards other essential purposes. Such responsible actions and conservation efforts are vital for ensuring sustainable water operations.
