KRWA Requests Governor Lift Moratorium on Disconnections

On September 9, 2020, KRWA sent a letter to Governor Beshear, signed by the KRWA Board of Directors, on behalf of the 365 utility members of the Kentucky Rural Water Association, asking him to strongly consider lifting the moratorium on utility disconnections and late payment fees. Although we supported the Executive Order 20-323 issued on May 8 and the PSC Order issued on March 16, which temporarily suspended disconnections for non-payment, we now believe it is time to lift the order. The letter states our concerns.
