Water Plant Treatment / Distribution Operator - North Marshall
The North Marshall Water District has an opening for a Water Plant Treatment / Distribution Operator.
Class I, II, III, or IIIB certification preferred, but not required.
Do you have a two year or four-year degree in sciences? If so, you can be fast tracked into becoming a
Licensed Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). No previous work experience is
required for the trainee class. Must be willing to work all shifts including nights and weekends.
Certification / Licensing Requirements: Must be able to obtain a Class I Water Plant Treatment /
Distribution Operator License issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky immediately upon completion
of one year of employment in the position; or possess a Class II, III, or IIIB Water Plant Treatment /
Distribution Operator License issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Natural
Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Availability Requirement: Must be able to work irregular hours and assigned shifts. Must be able to
respond to calls in emergency situations at all hours.
Pay will be based upon qualification and / or experience, starting at $18/hr.
