Utility Locate Specialist

Warren Water is looking for the right person to join our team as a Utility Locate Specialist. This full-time position will effectively locate and mark underground utilities through various means, including the use of underground utility locating equipment and GIS/GNSS technology. This position will document location of existing infrastructure by means of GIS/GNSS data collection, photos, GIS web mapping applications and/or field notes and sketches. 

Responsibilities include use of electromagnetic locating equipment, ground penetrating radar, GPS/GNSS, and other tools to accurately locate underground utilities such as water and wastewater lines. Identify and mark the location of underground utility lines with flags, paint, or other markers. Use maps, plans, and other documents to assist in identifying the location of underground utilities. Collects accurate coordinates utilizing GPS/GNSS equipment, etc. 

High school diploma or equivalent with relevant training, coursework and experience, along with a working knowledge with 1-2 years of experience in underground utility locating preferred.
