Water/Wastewater Certified Operator (Crab Orchard)

The City of Crab Orchard is seeking to hire a Full Time Water/Wastewater Certified Operator.  Must be at least level II Licensed operator in DW Distribution, WW Treatment and Collection.  This position entails but not limited to day to day operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and maintain and operate water distribution system in compliance with all regulations and complete accurate records.  Also will include assisting with meter readings, water leak repairs, both water and sewer taps, sewer line repairs, sewer lift station repairs, water and wastewater sampling, and other duties as required.  Requirements must be able to operate heavy equipment, mechanical knowledge is a plus, valid Kentucky Driver’s License, graduate from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED), clean background and drug screening also are required.  Benefits are paid Holidays, employer paid health, dental and vision insurance, paid sick days, paid vacation time and retirement.  Applications can be picked up at Crab Orchard City Hall 86 Main Street, Crab Orchard Ky 40419, between the hours of 9-4, deadline for applications to be returned will be April 28^th 2023.  Crab Orchard is an EOE.
