Public Works Director
The City of McKee is seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Works Director to lead our Public Works Department. The successful candidate will oversee infrastructure planning, development, and maintenance, including roads, water systems, waste management, and public facilities. This role involves budget management, team leadership, and collaboration with city officials and community stakeholders to ensure efficient and sustainable services.
Key responsibilities include overseeing all public works staff, operations and maintenance of parks, utility operations, general building and ground maintenance, etc. This position will require both sedentary duties, as well as physical duties, outdoors, and may require the employee to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED
-Valid driver’s license
-Management experience
-College degree or utility licensing or experience is preferred
Salary starting at $20 per hour, but negotiable based on experience. Other benefits include IRA retirement plan, health insurance, PTO, limited tuition discounts, and paid holidays. The City of McKee also qualifies as a Public Service Loan Forgiveness employer.
